E Squared C Tests Small Business Server in Secrecy
August 15, 2008 - Since September 2007, E Squared C and Carson Valley Golf Course have participated in a Microsoft Technology Adoption Program (TAP) for the next version of Small Business Server. During the TAP, we where under NDA with Microsoft and could not discuss the project outside of E Squared C. Over the last year we assisted the SBS development team with issue resolution, feature definition and end user usability.
Now that Small Business Server 2008 is released to public beta testers, we can finally talk about our experience. E Squared C implemented SBS 2008 in production during December 2007. SBS 2008 is stable, user friendly, and offers much needed network management tools. Having participated in the TAP gives us confidence in the new SBS 2008 and we are recommending to all of our clients that they migrate to the new server. Small Business Server 2008 is a rock solid server for companies with fewer that 75 employees.
